In today's "Islamic" world, the majority of women are treated by men as second class citizens. Such a status for women is not attributable to the laws in the Quran but to religious laws other than the Quran. This section describes the misconception about women in Islam and corruption in it based on Hadith and Sunnah and describes women's rights instituted by God in the Quran.
